Multicultural Applied Theatre Society

A celebration of UNITY in DIVERSITY through THEATRE.

"A diverse learning community that provides opportunities for its members to experience the potential to imagine change."

'Concrete Utopia' - A Pedagogy of Utopia, Selina Busby (2015)

Who we are

We celebrate cultures and languages

Founded in 2018, the Multicultural Applied Theatre Society (MAT) is an intercultural collective of artists and performers, who form not only a theatre company but also a learning community focused on multilingualism and embodiment.

It invites participants of different ages and backgrounds to engage in an exchange of culture, knowledge, and skills that takes place in a protected creative space, bringing together performers from all over the world in multilingual representations of diversity on stage.

If the world were a village of 100 people...

If the world were a village of 100 people, how many would be X and how many would be Y? How many would be laughing, and how many would have dreams?

Wouldn’t you want to see a world as a village of 100 people, where everybody is equal, has opportunities and is living a life?

All very different, but all very fun lives.
